Tempting

I still need to post a good FO shot of this but my MIL is still on vacation and the finished pictures are on her camera. I'll update when she gets back. In the meantime I will post this self-portrait.
Don't mind the dirty mirror. Cleaning has gone by the wayside, thanks to the knitting.

Specs:
Pattern: Tempting, by Jenna Adorno (available on Knitty)
Yarn: Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran, colour 300611-5 skeins
Needles: Denise, size 8
Started: 12/26/06
Finished: 2/4/07 (I actually remembered to mark the dates this time, so I can see how long it took to make!) This wasn't solid-everyday knitting time, there were some interruptions along the way.

Mods: I knitted the body a little longer than the pattern called for due to my long torso gene (thanks Dad). Also, instead of the ribbon/eyelet neckline called for in the pattern I decided to incorporate the Audrey (Rowan) lace neckline. The off-the-shoulder design seemed a little too fussy for my style and I'm not big into ribbon or bows or a combination of the two. I did 15 repeats for the neckline and sewed it to the body of the sweater after performing a k2tog bindoff. This closed up the neckline enough to attach the lace collar and gives me better coverage so I can wear appropriate undergarments.

Changes for next time: It calls for Kitchener under the arms to attach the sleeve to the body and I kind of blew this since I didn't know how to perform this on ribbing. Someone made the suggestion to knit one row, then perform Kitchener and this sounds like the perfect solution, so I will do this next time around. Thanks Mary for that tip!!
